How to Find Your Own Real Estate Business Model

Real Estate is possible for all! We just happen to be in the military!

I have had people mention I would love to try your strategy but….. I’m not Active Duty Military.

Real Estate can work for anyone. You don’t have to be active duty and move all over. You don’t have to have grown up in the same town and never leave. Real Estate is a flexible investment option that works for everyone; you will simply form your business plan around your tools! Don’t let someone else’s success scare you because you cannot follow them exactly. If you do then you are missing the whole purpose of this blog.

How to Find Your Own Real Estate Business Model

We broke the model when we formed our business model!

  • We are TRANSIENT – We move every 1 – 3 years, often across the country.
  • We buy EXPENSIVE HOMES– They don’t fit the 1%, 2%, or 50% model
  • We put as LITTLE down as possible– If I could buy a house with 0% down I would.
  • I LOVE distressed properties– Short Sales are my favorite!
  • DISTANCE – We Self Manage from thousands of miles away.
  • STRICT Landlording – We have a 14 PAGE lease. A specific lease works much better for US than a vague one.

The point isn’t our business model. Looks at Apple versus Microsoft: two VERY different products but they are very successful. The key is to form a plan that FITS you! Over time you are going to shape your plan to your goals, markets, and abilities. When you find something that works, run, don’t walk- and excel!

I LOVE Real Estate. On the other hand, stocks, bonds, oh my! I have a finance degree and stocks still aren’t my thing. You are going to find your thing. As long as it is legal. Don’t worry what other people think. Just excel, and before you know it people with accept you. They will probably think you are nuts, (there is a reason I am labeled the crazy red head). On the other hand, everyone is a little nuts. What do you think about skydivers, they jump out of perfectly good planes?!

So read this site.  Learn from this site. Don’t get overwhelmed. Don’t think that just because you can’t follow me to the tee you won’t succeed. I am not a guru. The point of this website is NOT to say FOLLOW ME EXACTLY and you will succeed. The point is to teach you what “I” have learned so you can learn from my mistakes and go in some other crazy and wonderful directions.

When you succeed, COME BACK, share on the success page, let others, including me, learn about your tricks.
